Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo da Vinci in the 16th century is currently the most expensive painting in the world estimated at several billion Euros. It belongs to the French State and is on display at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Could France decide to sell Mona Lisa?
Surely that would depend on how the painting would be sold and what price she could get for it?

France would keep the usufruct of Mona Lisa without time limit and would continue to receive the income produced by the painting.
The millions of buyers of Mona Lisa pixels would have bare ownership of their share certified by an official digital tamper-proof act (NFT) but without being able to have their piece at home (we are not going to cut Mona Lisa into pieces!).
